History
The beginning of Klurst
Klurst was an underwater volcano, existing beneath the Pacific ocean. Then one day, the volcano erupted and was destroyed. Centuries passed, and the land slowly rose up due to displacement. Creating a beautiful lush island covered by forest and life. Another century passed, with only the squirrels, bears and other animals on the island.
Then from the isle of Albion, otherwise known as Great Britain or England, the fey queen Titania of Tir Na Nog decided to take some of her fey brethren and decided to colonize the island of Klurst. The entire island was covered in forest and secluded so it was ideal for the fey to live in. They lived there a few decades of peace for the Fey as they lived there.
Then, from America, humans who were exploring the Pacific ocean landed on the island. They were met with hostility from the fey, who are extremely territorial. The humans and the Fey were locked in a battle for three entire days. The humans couldn't leave the island, because the fey had enchanted the island, to entrap intruders, and get them lost in the woods.
The humans were in a panic, they had no idea what to do as they barely managed to fight off Fey ambushes, not to mention, the terrain of the forest could be rocky in places so it was slightly dangerous. Very dangerous actually. The humans made a last desperate plan, lest they all be killed.
The Fey's weakness. Iron.
This was known to one of the members of the crew, whom always carried an iron dagger on him. This was the only effective method of killing or fighting off the fey that they had, and it was their only hope. This member decided to tell the others of this weakness early on and had gradually made a plan as they discovered the feys greatest strength but also it's the greatest weakness of theirs.
Its known as the Green Ashplant. It is a foliage that grants the Fey even greater power and it allows them to control the whole island. Without it, the feys power would be greatly reduced. The plan was to destroy the flower at any cost. Even their lives, if they had too. They'd at least prevent any more death after their own.
The Green Ashplant is guarded by the Fey queen Titania and the Fey King Orebon. not to mention all the other Fey, who surrounded it from all sides. All except one. Above. The humans realized it is their only chance. They climbed the trees and jumped down onto the Fey, and the man with the dagger dropped on the flower. They'd protect the man with the knife as he destroyed the flower.
Most of the humans didn't make it, but a few did, including the man with the iron knife. The impossible plan succeeded against all odds.
The Fey were forced to flee to one area of the island, as the rest of the forest withered at an incredible speed. The Fey were trapped, and the humans now had claim over the rest of the island. Due to the overpopulation in much of the area by what would eventually become New York, some people decided to make the dangerous trip to the island, so as too finally find a better life. Infomation was passed through Carrier pigeons back then.

It was in this way, Klurst was colonized.
Klurst through the Ages
When the island was first colonized, the waters surrounding the island caused it to waste away slowly. It was so slow, no one noticed a thing for a couple hundred years. The island was inhabited by people that would help the island to grow and become a better lace. Many of the inhabitants also had powerful magic. At first, all the inhabitants were human, or Fey.

After a few hundred years, with the improved technology, the descendants of the original inhabitants of the island discovered the horrifying truth that the island was slowly being eroded. The humans despaired over this. It was at this time, that four friends went into the woods. 3 were lost forever, but one was changed, and became the goddess Beten.

Beten used her power and saved Klurst. She stopped the water from eroding the island further, and had guarded the island ever since. It was around this time Krayola entered the woods, and became the Messiah. He then helped to create the temple.
Modern Klurst
Klurst over the years became a tourist attraction, especially when Hex showed up and began helping the island become more intriguing, helping to fund bars, coffee shops, candy stores, boutiques, bowling alleys, even an aquarium. Tourists visited during the day. At midnight they were escorted off the island. By force if necessary. The witching hour was when some Fey could leave the woods, particularity if the moon was full. This is when the Fey's power was strongest. So tourists wernt allowed to stay. Magical creatures, like Sirens, Vampires, demons, and more live on the island now, either brought in by other humans, or they made their way to the island themselves.
